Parent-Teacher Communication Parent cooperation
and communication is a vital part of our successful school program. We encourage parents to attend our “Parent Information
Nights.” These sessions, held several times a year, are intended to help parents
understand the curriculum in greater detail. Scientifically designed Montessori
materials are used in all areas of the classroom during the school day. Children
may not take any work home on a daily basis. This does not indicate a lack of
productivity or learning. Children are manipulating these materials to gain a
concrete understanding of a subject. This work does not always translate into
something that the child takes home. By attending these informational meetings,
parents gain a better understanding of the Montessori curriculum and how their
child spends his school day.
Parent Teacher conferences are held twice a year in the fall and spring.
Written reports sent home in January and June.
